Yes. remember bitcoin is not a company. If this is in reference to some kind of account other than the bitcoin client, you will have to let us know.  Smiley

Best thing to do is email them, most of the time its instant but occasionally there can be delays.

Easy there, Sport. Just tryin' to help... no post count, posting bitinstant-related complaint in the newbie forum, the natural inference there would be "newbie". Nothin' personal, Chief.

bitcointalk.org isn't bitinstant, so apart from emailing/calling bitinstant's support venues, or using the aforementioned forum that you were apparently aware of, what more help did you anticipate the  bitcoin community at large would be able to provide?

You need to contact bitinstant - this forum is not bitinstant - it's just a forum for people interested in bitcoin; we do not all work for bitinstant.
Contact bitinstant - they are the company you used.
We are just random people on the internet who can't help you, since we have nothing to do with bitinstant.
Ask bitinstant directly through their customer service - they'll help you get your methanphatimazaipehanitiapazone.

Give them time to respond to a support ticket. E-mail them and make sure you keep around your receipt to your zipzap deposit.

Ya, but they monitor that thread and probably are unaware of this one.  So if your problem is not yet resolved and you haven't done so already consider posting your inquiry there:

This is not the first time a BitInstant customer has done this.  Unfortunately Mt. Gox account numbers don't have a checksum or some other method of preventing this.  Mt. Gox and BitInstant could easily implement some method to protect against this from happening in the future but that is not in place today.

Previously I've seen where BitInstant has contacted Mt. Gox and the funds were eventually recovered but I don't know how long that takes or the likelihood of that appeal ending up being successful (funds transferred to intended account).
