a couple years ago when i was like 15 i built my self a gaming computer out of boredom. it was pretty top of the line, somhow i ran out of money half way through the project due to grossley underestimating the cost but i ended up getting some finantial support from the pops. it was getting slow and filled with porn viruses by the harddrive fried so i just went up and got a laptop. now im wondering if this setup will be acceptable for mining, attleast to start up and get in the grove of things before dropping $400 on some new GPUs. i would replace the darddrive with a $40 referbished SSD from newegg and run linux.
Motherboard- asus M2N32-SLI deluxe

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150264i forget exactley what CPU but i have been told its not so important in mining. same with RAM but it also has a 600w power supply i put in it and a bigass fan
would this be worth even trying to set up or should i just give up now?
edit:also adding some water cooling and testing how far i can take the overclocking crossed my mind
