Coinotron troubles

I have been trying to mine some TRC at coinotron and I'm experiencing a crazy amount of rejects? Whats going on?

I think this is because I was using getwork. Anyone trying to mine TRC from coinotron use stratum or you will get some crazy rejects. Also, this is the first pool that I've seen that doesn't auto connect with my miner. It takes a could tries and gets communication errors?

It runs on auxiliary/emergency DDOS protected server, the old IP is still under attack. im getting 5% rejects and its not that bad, still way beter for me that any other ltc pool.

it is a multi blockchain pool with a single IP. it's not that easy to make auto-stratum.

update cgminer, 2.10.4 , 2.10.5 and 2.11 all provide  a lot of stratum tuning, your's is very outdated.

there will be some rejects or ocasional reconects, until ddos stopes. still most efficient pool for me.

I have checked out your miner's stratum stats. You have delivered 235 shares + 5 stales. That makes 2.1% stales rate.


If you are mining BTC, TRC or LTC at Coinotron it is better to use Stratum. Current stats of stales look like this:
        Stratum  Getwork
TRC     1.2%      2.5%
LTC     0.2%       1.6%
BTC     0.05%     1.3%   

To be honest they are not much different than stats on previous server.
I was informed by koddos.com support that there were few small attacks on our new server.
That might cause temporary connection problems for some miners.

why attack a pool, it seems so pointless. Thanks for letting me know that the miner was out of date! I'm at 700 shares and 50 rejects right now, that's no so bad I suppose with outdated software .
