I am looking for a website similar to localbitcoins or something that doesn't have crazy ID requirements. Localbitcoins has gotten silly and they are asking for crazy stuff. I remember years ago it never used to be like that. So now I am looking for an alternative. I just want to be able to send a bank transfer to somebody or to a company, and then receive some bitcoins. Without having to stand on one leg, jump in the air with a written piece of paper stating I authorise the payment while balancing my ID on my head.

You must consider from seller point of view. If a seller do not check if the money he received from the payer is bitcoin purchase by payer himself, then very likely he will become the victim of man-in-the-middle attack, stolen account of cheated old people/women paid money to the seller, and the scammer run away with bitcoin, the seller got called to police and explain why he did not deliver the goods those old people/women wanted

There will always be people that lose money because of old, stupid or greedy, and if a system can eliminate the risk of those people being scammed, e.g. you can always be certain that the people who paid the money is the sole initiator of the bitcoin purchase, then I don't see the need for ID documentation check, if the payment received shows the sender's name

However, recently law enforcement have started to track blockchain to analyze who send bitcoin to darknet and purchase drugs, that is also a reason that they need id documentation check during all the transactions

The shirt answer is NO. I know its a pain but even you need to ensure you get someone else on the other side that you can trust that you will get what you paid for. The same level of security is provided for the seller as much as for the buyer.

However, if anybody says to you that you can and then they nominate someone they know etc then Don't send your money, unless, of course you want to lose it all.

I hope this helps in at least advising you to not trust anyone unless proven otherwise.

Safest to buy via Binance or other similar platforms.

Safest to buy via Binance or other similar platforms.

Safest? If Binance is what you define "safest", you're very wrong. And by the way, Binance does allow you to trade without any ID verification with certain limits. Still, it's NOT safe.

The way to go without verification is by using Bisq or by buying some BTC through an ATM, but I'd make sure I call the operator to ensure there will be no KYC imposed up to some limits. There are some people interested in taking face-to-face transactions too, and you can find some of them here on the forum (make sure you check your local board if you're not a native English speaker).

You can also buy from the Marketplace, but make sure you're going to use a trusted middleman or you might be the next scam victim.

Unless you're going P2P, there's no guaranteed way you can buy or sell without being requested ID. I've been through this before and even if a website says you can use their exchange up to X BTC/day without verification, there is a good chance you might be requested ID verification at one point.

Good luck!

Bisq is one of the recommended if you are looking for no KYC as suggested above.
But if you are looking for many options for no KYC check the list from these threads below.

I would agree with those suggesting Bisq. It's probably the closest you'll find to decentralized P2P+OTC trading. LocalCryptos is another non-custodial and non-KYC solution worth looking into.

If you want to buy large amounts of bitcoins or trade very regularly, you may need to use multiple P2P exchanges. See here:

Another +1 for Bisq. Though LocalBitcoins definitely has better UI/UX simply due to it being a website and Bisq being a software you need to download and sync, it's the best option we have right now. Wish more people used it honestly; we need more liquidity on Bisq.

OTC trade in this forum might also do the trick. Of course, it's not an ideal replacement of LBC, but for someone whose fiat system doesn't get widely supported by OTC/P2P apps like Bisq it's still a good choice. There are a lot of trusted escrows there so that's another plus point.

Yeah, aside Local bitcoins and bisq that some members are suggesting you can also try a very reputable Over-the-Counter point of sale that a friend introduced to me. Their Know your customer process is very simple. Just upload any ID special photos of yours and they are okay. Note that it's safe to trade on such platforms than just trading on any platform.

You can try https://bisq.network/
Works very nice

BISQ should be given a look by everyone reading this, and for them to suggest it to everyone who they know owns Bitcoin!

OP, sometimes BISQ traders have high minimum amounts allowed to buy, or sell. Here's an old list of no-KYC exchanges that might help you, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5180421.0

If you have difficulty buying bitcoin then you can see it in the marketplace or through escrow services I think it will be safer to choose the one that is trusted with many of its service users.
Many people recommend Bisq so try it honestly I have never tried it because every time I buy KYC I always use it for the security of my assets.
