Escrowing is a hassle anyways...run while you can!

And this is why it's always baffling and suspicious to me when people seem happy to offer such a service and all for free. What's in it for them other than to try build up feedback quickly (which is the wrong way to do it)... or is it just an easy way to get people to blindly trust them with money to then run off with an amount they like? If people can't trust master-p etc then they certainly can't trust op.
Can't agree with Blazed enough, running an escrow service can sure be a pain. Setting up terms of the escrow for each transaction is time consuming, as well as trying to get all parties on the same page. However, it's understandable when people open up new escrow services (at least to me) - I used to have a ton of spare time on my hands so I didn't mind spending some of it helping the community out by running a free escrow service. It's definitely a good way to get rid of some of that spare time. Wink

The main trust/believe on the escrow is that he has something (more than the mount he is escrowing) to lose.Familiarity plays an important role here,an example would be If you are trusting a senior member account then you should not trust more than 40% of his account's value. The problem started when more than 5 people have escrowed him and started a trade at a single time and definitely he has no pools and none business involvement ,thus no familiarity to hundreds or thousands of coins previously like Doog, stunna or Dean who control 3-4 k btc.

I seriously disregarded that scammer many times for my trade and will most likely continue to trust sebastianju or the forum treasurers who have been holding a huge sum of btc and will continue to.

It can sum up to the background of the person and some percentage of it relies on the person's integrity. You could blindly trust a guy for 4 coins who has been escrowing/holding 500 coins in his past over someone who just wants to grow the green tree under his avatar with political fake and shitty means.
Exceptions should be excluded but sadly this was not one.

Maybe tarsua might prove himself to be the most trusted escrow of the whole community. Undecided Undecided
