The MOBO has three pcie slots but the one closest to the CPU will not recognize a GPU.  The mobo is an azrock6 extreme.

Any thoughts on how to get this working will be greatly appreciated.

Try upgrading BIOS to the latest version.

Nothing in pciex1 slot.  Windows 7 64bit

Where do you download bios upgrade?  I will poke around on azrock website, but if you can find a link I would be very thankful.

You have to put that on a flash drive and then the system will recognize it on reboot?

Thanks!
