I have an unconfirmed transaction and believe I should refresh my wallet, however I am worried I will need to fully log back in. I have my password, but I dont have my 25(?) security words. This is probs a dumb question but dont wanna lose the BTC. Thanks

Are you using MultiBit HD? If you do, you don't have to worry about uninstalling it since all info is stored in %Appdata%/MultibitHD (For windows). However, just to be sure, copy that folder to another safe place as a backup and you would have a backup. I don't recommend using a wallet without having the seed itself however.

All you need to do is wait, and to use MultiBit HD you only need to know your password. Wallet words are used for restoring your wallet, for example if your hard drive died.
