I recently had to reinstall Armory, and had trouble in getting Armory to show the full blockchain, the number as shown down in the right corner of the Armory window was off by a larger number of blocks, eventhough Bitcoin-Qt was synced and showed the correct number of blocks.

I tried on Ubuntu first, but several attempts to no avail, including erasing the Bitcoin database and downloading it again, etc.

I then tried on OS X, same thing there, only difference was that the blocks were off by an even larger number.

Finally I tried on Windows, and everything went well at my first attempt. I then copied the files from Windows to Linux and OS X, and that fixed it on those machines as well.

I have never been able to make it work as it should directly on Linux or OS X, only on Windows. But this workaround doesn't add too much work, and is clearly functioning.

I've seen other posts with more or less esoteric ways of fixing this issue, but I thought I would add a low-tech solution. Hopefully, future releases will work easily on Linux and OS X as well, without the need for special treatment.

If you go to File > Settings and uncheck "Let Armory start Bitcoin-Core in the background" and then restart Bitcoin Core and Armory, it should fix the problem. Also, always use the latest software.

I always run them separately, however that didn't solve the issue for me.

What errors are you getting on *nix systems? I'd like to see some log files. Are you running all these OS against the same hardware or is your Windows machine significantly faster than the other two (more ram?)

I've sent some log files via PM.

Separate hardware, Windows ran on a bit better specs than Linux, but OS X better than both. In all cases the specs were quite enough though.

I have it all working now with 0.93, but I'll try a clean 0.94 install just for fun.

You guys  could consider pushing 0.94 on the Armory website, currently it's pointing to 0.93.3

I see, I looked around and found some info about all that.

So, the place to go for now in order to get 0.94 is https://github.com/goatpig/BitcoinArmory ?

Yes. That is also where all future releases of Armory will be hosted.
