Seedom is a fundraising project for altruistic causes that have a foot in a decentralized future while rewarding a single contributor for their support. It takes the efficiency, security, and transparency of the traditional single-room raffle and re-invents it with trustlessness and secure crowd-sourced random selection into an entirely new type of fundraiser that scales to the entire world.
It will rotate twice a month between charitable organizations that continue the fight for decentralization. Decentralization can take many forms, but to us, it refers to bringing power to as many people as possible. We have been working with
Giveth, a group that has this goal in mind, and they are now our first ever fundraiser beneficiary!
Giveth is re-engineering charitable giving, by creating an entirely free, open-source platform, built on the Ethereum Blockchain. Their system cuts out bureaucracy and enables nonprofits to create a high level of transparency and accountability towards Givers. Through the
Giveth DApp (Donation Application) you will be able to see how the project is laid out and how much money is required for each part. By reducing costs and decentralizing the giving process, they are putting the power back into the hands of the people.
