Hi All

Thanks in advance for the help. I have recently made a transaction from my Electrum wallet to ICE3x which is where i purchased my bitcoins form originally. I Transferred roughly 0.09 BTC. No the issue i am having is that the BTC has cleared out of my electrum wallet but has not yet showed up in the ICE3x wallet. I may have made a bit of a mess up by playing with the fee amount. I reduced the fee amount and then sent and while the transaction was being confirmed i Increases the fee to the original amount. When i look at the transaction on blockchain.info it says that in Brackets UNSPENT next to the address the coins where sent to.

Im trying to understand what UNSPENT means and if i have lost my coins or if it will just take a while for them to clear into the other wallet. If i click on view tree chart it also says "output is unspent and has no children" WHAT DOES THIS MEAN!?

 The transaction id is:
af4a43111d41f50090d9c5b48da4f09d49cfbcc434511cbfd8b0d1111f37fd6b

Thanks for any advise.

The .09561326 Bitcoins are there with (as of now) 23 confirmations.  Unspent means it is still there and not spent, just waiting.

As far as it showing up at ICE3X, if that is an exchange, then it may be they are slow crediting it, and you’d have talk to their support.

Thanks for your reply. What does SPENT mean? Like spent as in it was used to buy something or moved in a transaction? Sorry still new to all this. I thought i did my home work but obviously not enough. I have an online wallet that i transfer my BTC into so as to be able to buy or sell it and then i store it on my electrum wallet. Is it normal for an exchange to hold it before it clears into the online wallet?

When shifting bitcoins around... all that is occuring is that "Unspent Transaction Outputs" (or UTXO's) from one (or more addresses) are being "spent" and new UTXOs are created and assigned to different addresses.

SPENT (or UNSPENT) is just a notation that the block explorers use to indicate whether or not that particular UTXO has been used in a subsequent transaction (SPENT) or not (UNSPENT).

It is not unheard of for an online service like an exchange to be a bit slow in crediting accounts when people deposit bitcoins, although the better ones will generally automate this and allow users to trade/withdraw funds after a specific number of confirmations.

Your transaction now has 31+ confirmations, so really they should have credited your account by now. Your only recourse is to log a support ticket and see what they say.

Thanks so much for the help. I have bought BTC from them a couple times now and have had no issues moving them to my electrum wallet but this is the first time I am moving them back so maybe that why its taking a bit longer. I have logged a ticket with them but will only get an answer tomorrow.. hopefully.

Thanks again for the help.
