Etheres PoliciesEthereum Hard forkOn roughly Wednesday July 20 an attempt at a hard fork will occur (Block 1920000). Mining services will shutdown roughly 30 minutes prior and resume 30 minutes afterwards
or when the winning chain is made evident.
We will not be enforcing any chain upon the miners, but will be selecting the one where the majority of miners are mining.
Closure of EtheresIn the event that Etheres should close down, we have implemented a procedure that will be followed. We thought that this should be made public and open before miners decide whether to mine at Etheres or not.
- Pool Shutdown Notification - Notice that Etheres will be closing, will be provided 2 weeks prior to any decision being made. This will be posted here, on twitter and on the main page of Etheres.
- Withdrawal Process - After halting Etheres services, the website will remain online so users can use the manual withdrawal function that will be added to request any unpaid balances.
- Withdrawal Window - Etheres will remain online for at least 10 weeks after halting mining at Etheres, which means 3 months after the initial intent to shutdown had been announced.
Please note that Etheres is a newly launched pool and has no intentions of going anywhere in the foreseeable future, but we wish to cover every avenue to ensure miners know what would happen in the
unlikely even this is to occur.
