Super Excited to have started mining Ethereum Classic & Decred using Claymore's Dual Miner. I'm currently running AMD XFX R9 380 4GB card. It's a pretty good card though it gave me some challenges with Black Screen , but was able to fix that. My hasrate for Ethereum Classic is currently 20Mh/s & for Decreed is 305Mh/s. I know it's not much but it's good to start somewhere rather than procrastinating.

I dont know if this is common sense or not but using the dual miner do you half your hashrate? So if you where to use just a normal miner and not the duel and decided to mine only ethereum would you be mining at 40m/hs rather than 20 or does the dual miner work some kind of magic and basically allow you to mine 2 for the price of 1?

Clearly you don't know ,it doesnt affect the hashrate at all. if i were to mine ETC only i will get the same hashrate , unless you increase the intensity over the other

Because SIA is more profitable.

i am not sure if it's better to mine DCR over SIA , as i have no knowledge of mining SIA and it's profitability , but fr now i think DCR is a good coin to mine along with ETC

SIA is just more profitable than DCR ... And you should look both coins and what they represent. I just like SIA concept more than DCR (if we don't look at profitability...)
