The 502 error for the last 1 hour has been upsetting to say the least and rather frustrating. But has not been seen to this extent before. Could be from that rather long thread in the giveaway section! Tongue

But now getting an 500 internal Server error  Shocked

Does this mean to someone is attempting to hack into this forum?

The forum occasionally is under a DDoS attack. This just disrupts service and does not actually affect your account.

Had this issue as well. I could not log in for 2 hours this morning.
So this is a common thing to happen or is it just too many users trying to post all at the same time?
The system would see that as a ddos attack too.

i do not think we are going to get a new forum and by the way i think it was the attacker not the bitcointalk users for the reason of this ddos because bitcointalk server have faces many users before too but ddos has seen only this time so its the attacker

Yes we are, the question is just when it's going to be done.

New forum or new servers? I think this can be sorted out by moving to virtual private servers

As regular poster of bitcointalk I usually get 2 to 3 times a week sometimes it comes from the forum server and sometimes coming from my own connection,I always check http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ to check if it is only my connection..
