HK is one the world's greatest place to do business. I've done business in HK, and I hope to do it again next year. It's only a normal that a good place to do business also attract bad people. It's happening all the time.
I think that is very true because they are out of China's reach so don't have to bide by their laws or ways of doing business. Hong Kong does not have anything wrong there when setting up a venture to do business and should not be viewed in any harsh manner because of what happened to Bitfinex in any way.
That to me is irrelevant as chasing a red herring is to a Norwegian. Tongue

Hong kong is a business hub and that does not mean it has scammers there. Every country in the world has scammers with businesses. Hong kong is a non-tax country when you are bringing money from outside HK, that should be the reason to incorporate there.

Well wherever we go scammer always appear were there's big amount of money they can get. And about your question , honestly its hard to give an opinion in my part because I didn't witness the truth behind those coins you've talking about. I think place/country is not the right basis for us to accuse that hongkong is the base of the scammers, though I'm not a  hongkong citizens. Smiley Smiley

I tend to agree with Franky on this.  And we're not anywhere near sure that bitfinex scammed anyone.   They may have had terrible security protocols.  Where was Cryptsy running out of?  I know mt gox was Japan.   Yobit might be next, does anyone know where they are?  Anyway,  this isn't a reason to bash Hong Kong.

If the original Backside walkaround can prove to me they are the old owner of this account, I can update the email address to the email address of their choosing.
Backside walkaround has lost access to their account as they used someone else's email address to sign up, and the owner of the email address got tired of random email notifications from this site after a few months and reset the password.
