Accelero Twin Turbo Pro on Sapphire 6950 non-ref?

Hi! I'm wondering if anyone knows with certainty if the Arctic Cooling Accelero Twin Turbo Pro works for the Sapphire 6950 1gb non-reference gpu? It isn't officially compatible with it but I've found some people on the net stating that it works on their 6950's.

I know that the accelero xtreme plus works for the 6950, but it's so freakin' expensive...

The original fan sounds like a HELO and doesn't cool that well...

99% of the time a reference compatible cooler won't work with a non reference card.

I wouldn't risk it. This is why I always buy reference.
