BEWARE of forum user LocalBitcoinsScript, he just stole BTC from me. I was talking to him on Skype chat and as soon as the BTC confirmed, he stopped replying. Then he immediately locked out all of his posts on the forum including the one below. If he ends up responding then I will update this post but for now this person appears to certainly be a scammer. BEWARE! Angry

I'm so confused, you didn't even get to the point in the transaction where the seller gives you the code?
There are plenty of escrows around here, why didn't you use one?

Yeah, I agree that I should have used an escrow. I was talking to him for a while on Skype, and decided to take a risk with $75 worth of BTC. He was advertising $50 per $1000 worth of AWS credits. Then he told me that he would give me two codes ($2000) worth for $75, and then I could confirm the first two worked. Then he said he would send me the third code for another $75.

I run a startup company and have a large AWS bill this month, so I was really hoping this was legit.

Do you know of any AWS code sellers that are not scammers?

I will post in the scam section as you suggested as well.

Thanks!

You willingly sent money to someone with 16 negative feedbacks from people already scammed by this person and now you act surprised that he actually scammed you as well? You fully deserve to be robbed of all your parents' pocket money, kiddo. Ask your parents to take you to a psychiatrist, there is apparently something very wrong with your brain.

Now you degraded yourself down to the same level as this scammer. Of course you don't "run" any company, children are not legally competent and you won't be even when (if) you grow up given your recent actions. If you didn't intentionally and knowingly lied just now then you are delusional and really should be locked up in a mental institution asap as you are danger to yourself and the others.

My list of 43(+3) reviewed Bitcoin forks | You don't have to download the pre-fork blockchain again for each fork! | Beware of fraudulent AWS accounts sellers and dangerous edu AWS codes! + My personal list of legit sellers and scammers | Never publicly reveal your btc addresses, ownership or any other details and stay very far away from anybody who asks you to! | The general rule of safe buying is: if the seller is a newbie, with no reputation, with no topic nor trust feedback, offering no vouches and/or selling from a locked or self-moderated topic and unwilling to go first or use escrow => AVOID. Always check the trust feedback first and make sure that you have enabled "Show untrusted feedback by default" in "Profile / Forum Profile Information".

Gotta say, this is a bit harsh man.

Yeah, he should have done more due diligence and used an escrow (or not dealt with someone with that many negative feedbacks at all), but telling the OP that he needs to be locked up in a mental institution is a bit over the top.

Anyway, to OP - sorry that you got scammed. Others have been scammed for much larger amounts, so consider this your "lesson" when dealing with people on the forum, and learn from it. Do your due diligence on respective trading partners. Either deal with someone trusted, use an escrow, or both. Good luck Smiley
