After the extended Bitfinex outage and a 10% flash crash on other exchanges people were basically begging admins of the exchange to regulate trades so they wouldn't lose even more money. And guess what, they gave in:

Most bitcoiners in /r/BitcoinMarkets would tell you that they hate regulation because it limits their freedom but when it comes to literal market manipulation by exchange owners to limit their losses it's ok, because "rational self interest" comes into play and they totally forget about their "free market" principles.
