Thanks in advance for any and all help received  Smiley

That said, I have been browsing this forum for a while now and learned a lot, but can't seem to nail down my problem. I recently got all the hardware together to start mining, began with Litecoin for a bit to see how that goes. I bought 5 5970's, but only have 2 running at the moment (running 2 in the HAF912 I had lying around, working on making my own chassis to fit all 5 5970's on this motherboard with PCIe extenders).

Anyways, I seem to be getting below average hashrates on the 5970s I have running. I'm getting about 270-280kh/s on each core (totaling about 1.1mh/s at the moment). I have the latest version of Reaper, on a fresh Win7 64-bit install (I know, I know. still new at this). I've seen the average rates at around 700kh/s for 5970s, but I'm below 600. I tried a bunch of different settings, ended up settling on what I'll list below. But many of these I settled on because others would cause very low rates, or simply prevent Reaper from running at all. I have 4 separate instances on Reaper running, one on each core (Devices 0 through 3), because trying to run one instance of it on all GPUs doesn't run. Not sure if it's the way my config file is set up or not, but if there's a good way to do it I'd appreciate that info as well.

I'm not at my rig at the moment, but going from memory, this is what I have some of the settings at in Reaper's litecoin.conf-

worksize- 256 (tried 512, killed hashrate)
GPU threads- 4 (more or less didn't seem to help, or it hurt)
CPU threads- 1 (very small load on the CPU anyways, so don't see how this would hurt)
Intensity- 12 (lower and I get like 50% load on the GPU, around 20 keeps the GPU from submitting any shares for whatever reason)
Some other one, escaping me atm- 4096 (tried around 8000, didn't help or prevented Reaper from running)

I'm ESPECIALLY curious about this---> overclocking doesn't seem to have any affect whatsoever on my hashrate  Huh I have my 5970's at stock to begin with, 725/1000. When I overclock them to 850mhz even, the hashrate stays the same. With the clock+voltage increase, I see temps rise, and the higher core speed, indicated on Afterburner's graph. But no affect on the hashrate. This can't be normal can it? I was mining on my pair of Titans for the hell of it while getting this rig set up, and they responded almost linearly with overclocks/hashrate. But the 5970s don't.

Any help with this situation in general would be great. Thanks to all.
