Is there a wallet for ETC or do I just have to hold on polinex for now till the new devs make one.

well.. you can use jaxx.io there is wallet for ETC, it is more safe than you save ETC on poloniex or other exchangers. jaxx.io is support for smartphone too, you can save BTC,ETH,ETC,DASH,DAO on jaxx wallet.
