Even though their intentions may be good, the way they go about things leaves much to be desired. Censorship in the Bitcoin world is unacceptable, and many people see Theymos as one of the culprits. But Tuur Demeester is supporting his “style”, which creates even more discussion among enthusiasts...

" Some people started wondering if Theymos had the best interests of the community at heart."
who knows? maybe he should open widely the forums and r/bitcoin to the altcoins and to some people who have agenda?
if anyone don't like the way theymos et al. running things then he could join other forums and reddit groups...

One thing is certain: there is plenty of censorship in Bitcoin. Those who fail to see that do not have the best interest of cryptocurrency at heart either.
wow the guy writing this is so neutral in order to put this cute conclusion...

This isn't a news article, but an opinion piece.

The good news is that if someone doesn't like the way things are run, there are hundreds of other places people can go to discuss bitcoin and alt-coins.  That is the nature of freedom - people can control their own property just as everyone else can control their's.

sirius registered this domain before or after Satoshi published his paper? Any wiki article for the history of this kind of things?

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/History

August 18, 2008 - Domain name "bitcoin.org" registered.
October 31, 2008 - Bitcoin design paper published

I'll leave it to others to disclose who currently [co-]owns bitcoin.org. Hint: It's not Tuur.

Things started rolling in August 2008. It should be clear that the Bitcoin project started a while before that, because to create Bitcoin is not a days work even for experienced programmers. Both the website and the paper have been released at about the same time. It's already been about eight years...
