Blockchain technology, seen as a critical element of the next technology revolution, is also being referred to as 'the next Internet.' From finance to retail, publishing and a host of other unlikely candidates, the technology is expected to offer unique solutions across industries.

On October 31, 2008, the then & now pseudonymous inventor of Bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto published a paper titled, 'Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash System'. Contained within it was the design for a technology that would not only make the cryptocurrency work but also proliferate with ease. The Blockchain was formally introduced to the world.
