Statements I know is wrong, and I am gonna show the world why:1) Steven hawking has these fear mongering statements of aliens coming to earth in search of resources, and the fact we shouldn't contact them
2) Dyson sphere/type 1>2 -> up civilizations take 10000's to millions of years
I know they are very smart, but I've always felt they were wrong & colorblind. And I can see further then they can, including 99.99% of the others are wrong.
We in the 21st century of the year 2016, the human brain is an architecture of 86 billion neurons, currently faster then the fastest super computers in the world.
And AI is still relatively week, however has cracked beating the top Go player in the world.
AI is a relatively new field, and with general moor's law and an doubling of transistor size over 18 months. To say the human brain is special, and nothing can permit above it is false.
The human brain is what allows our species for technology, designing, innovating, creativity, learning, and constructing. It's what we had in our cranium skulls, since the dawn of our civilization to today.
Once you extend the mind of the human brain/intelligence, you'll have more intelligence to look at "extension" and the redesigning of technology around leading to that, which fuels even better extension/improvements.
To say other civilizations out there in the universe that are limited to 86 billion neurons is both false and chimpanzee thinking.
I can already see if we had a more sophisticated 3d printer, automated robots, charging pads/solar panels, sorting materials out, etc.
Not possible today yes, but I am here to enlighten why our perception on aliens coming to earth for resources is nonsense.
Neural interfaces/nanorobots or creating of general artificial intelligence (Median expert 15-85 years away)
And once an AI has the ability to expand its mind beyond the human brain, it will combine and gather concepts much better then what I mentioned here towards these.
Sophisticated von Neumann self-replicating architecture, can easily start a bacteria-self replication, from 1>2>4>8>16. And it can easily form a sphere of probes around the star
for being an energy harvester in a much shorter time-span compared to millions of years nonsense.
AI created lets say 50 years from now, it expands beyond the limited 86 billion neurons, and access to the entire internet of knowledge, 10 years later creates a Neumann self-replicating architecture
and a hub for more expansion of its mind, a few decades after that, we have trillions of probes around the star, and through out all the planets/asteroids mining resources. Including spreading outwards
towards other stars
Knowing the moon, and materials are around the solar system, and energy from our own star. Why on earth would aliens travel 100-1000s of light years to take Earth's resources away?
It's not just this, our evolution for life taken billions of years on Earth, an alien civilization out there, is very likely to be around millions-billions of years longer then us, in the future/past.
So if even just a 100 years from today can lead to crazy-stuff from technology, then why on Earth should we fear they taking our resources? For the aliens to have that mentality they would have
to be exactly in the year 2016 or before in their society construct, which is highly improbable, and that mentality is dropped very shortly after.
