I forwarded port 8333 to the PC running my Bitcoin wallet. The most connections I can achieve seems to be 11. I thought I could have many more connections than that if I opened up the port...

Any other ports I need to forward to the PC running Bitcoin wallet to establish more connections? Thanks.

So, I am also a newbie.
I did NOT have port 8333 forwarded and the software detected an incoming transaction.
I am in the process of setting up port 8333 as forwarded.

I wonder what improves with port forwarding ? (time of detecting payments ?)

Thanks,
