So it was developed vs. developing countries during the UN climate negotiations that took place in Germany, with the goal of ironing out the rules of the Paris climate pact, as reported on a BBC post. But apparently, the developing countries are “frustrated” with the developed world’s lack of leadership. One environment minister even said “It has been frustrating to hear some developed countries celebrate their climate leadership even as they fall well short of the modest commitments they have made over the years."

I agree that we should focus our efforts on completely solving the issue instead of celebrating for simply caring deeply about the earth.  But maybe I’m just anti-elitist and feel more sympathy towards the underdogs. This story I guess, not only describes our political and environmental landscape, but our everyday social struggles –it’s the powerful vs. the powerless, those who have money vs. those who don’t, those who have more ambition vs. those who are complacent. Which group do you fall into? And how do you assert yourself in that group?
