Another article from Jeremy Liew, quite different from the one posted yesterday at American Banker.

As a VC, my interest in the Bitcoin ecosystem is not ideological but mercenary. I see the opportunity for Bitcoin to disrupt multi-billion-dollar markets, but in doing so also create new big markets.

In all the scenarios that I’ve painted above, Bitcoin prices need to go up by 100x or more. If that were the case, then maybe just buying Bitcoin is a better investment than putting money into a Bitcoin startup. You get plenty of upside and no execution risk, but it won’t be anywhere near as much fun.

One of the best articles on Bitcoin I've read so far, absolutely loved it. It really shows the mindset that a good venture capitalist has when looking at investment opportunities. Unlike most expert you see elsewhere who try to look at Bitcoin as a regular currency or a stock or whatever, this guy (Jeremy Liew) is able to look beyond the technical challenges and into the future of Bitcoin. I hope he makes lots of money investing in Bitcoin startups.
