i only look for something to be unique and innovative but I admit in 2011 or so I didnt realise BTC had this much growth potential and usage all over the world.    I failed to recognise that a virtual exchange of value had been an indemand product since early nineties and BTC definitely had a reason to continue its sucess.

So I have to admit I was not on board back in 2011 though I wasnt this negative either I hope, its wasnt ridiculous just risky and its true now still but thats not a reason not to be involved.   Just everyone should be balanced, I dont agree BTC will take over the world or any absolute view but it could easily be a product that has a greater part of trade done then is currently the case.   If true that means growth and I would guess a backing to price demand etc

Quote
Total size 5,811,700 BTC
or 4,585,431 USD
or 3,545,137 EUR
or 133,094,323 RUB
or 3,849 ounces of gold

Definitely good to have perspective and understand the misconceptions of 2011, I gave OP merit.  lest we forget the continual doubt

Now that its $3700, they still find it ridiculous. You just can't say when they'd say its amazing how BTC get to that point where its been accepted by so many merchants. Those guys who find it ridiculous don't know what blockchain can do and that makes sense because they know nothing about crypto.

For sure they don't have any profit will get because they did not believe to bitcoin. But those people who are believe in the year 2011 they will have more money now. But no one knows in that year what is happen to bitcoin which is become very high and it's hard for them what is highest value of the bitcoin in the next few years.

I am very sure that less than 1% of the people in this topic would have the imagination enough to believe, that it could work if Bitcoin was presented to them during 2011. Including me. Cool

And those who traded that time are already one of the whales today. This is the risk that they afford to take, and the reward is awesome. I wonder if those people who says bitcoin is just a waste of money before, owns some bitcoin now? Well, I’m confident that they’ve already enter in the market but in a higher value.

Most probably and they are one of the whales who are controlling the price now.
I'm sure some of them had already retired and enjoy the rest of their lives with the bitcoin they are holding, and maybe
some of them had already cash out during the ATH and now living a life that is full of happiness since money is not anymore their problem.

I wish I was able to invest that time, I would have retired early and roam around the world.

I love reading their conversations. They belittled bitcoin so much and now look at where bitcoin stands. I'm pretty sure they have gotten themselves involve to bitcoin by now. It's passed 8 years now. One guy did plan to mine as much bitcoin as he can at that time, I wonder how he is doing now.

I wish I was able to invest that time, I would have retired early and roam around the world.

There are loads of penny stocks you could invest in now and still become very wealthy.
In those days it looked like throwing away money. Those few that mined some coins for fun and forgot about it are the winners.

What I am trying to say is that it is easy to say those kinds of things after you know the outcome.

Bitcoin is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get !!

Lol... What do y'all think?

Here is a bitcoin discussion that has been going on since 2011  Grin

https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/30/business-finance-investing/bitcoins-digital-currency-1011408/

Will the prices in the future be ridiculed? Or do we think we should have sold it back then? The history of Bitcoin is full of such memories ... I hope we won't sell it in the future as 3K.

By the way he looks like Escobar's youngest Grin
