Well I've know about bitcoin since 2011 but only now really starting to gain confidence in it.  I guess I've been stuck on metals.  Now that I'm trying to get some bitcoins I'm finding it to be a really difficult and tedious process.  Especially since they are worth so much now.  I spent about 2 hours trying and failing to buy bitcoins through bitinstant.  When I finally realized I couldn't spend more than $500 my heart sank.  Then I go to CVS to buy my silly 3.xx bitcoins, go through this really odd process on a red phone only to have the cashier not be able to finalize the deal and hand me back my money.  I looked at him like, 'are you fucking kidding me'.

I want to buy between $5k and $10k worth of bitcoin, like yesterday.  Whats up?!

You might want to reach out to https://tradehill.com/ - they're catering exclusively to high net worth individuals.

The moneygram phone is fun. Aside from the occasional bitcoin user, I think everyone who uses it has no bank account or credit of any kind Sad

Night gathers, and now my bitcoinwisdom watch begins.

I want to buy between $5k and $10k worth of bitcoin, like yesterday.

Bank wire to an exchange will be your most economical.

Mt. Gox lets you do that, though for some amount they'll want you to verify your accoutn:

BITSTAMP is another.

And there are many more:

You could try also doing a transfer from Coinbase.

You might find someone local willing to trade.

Try multiple paths, including a local buy perhaps:

Thanks for the help.

Now that I've cooled off I may try to complete my 3 bitcoin transaction at another location.
