At this point, I think they're just trolling, they must've figured out that yellow journalism on the Bitcoin topic increases their otherwise plummetting ratings and pageviews. http://www.cnbc.com/id/100618934

Yep, trolling. Kind of strange how the financial press seem to have all jumped on the FUDwaggon together, any tinfoil hat wearer would think they're trying to keep interest down until they've had a chance to get in themselves.
I think this might be a case of "Never assign malice to that which can be successfully explained by incompetence". FUD is, among other things, much EASIER. It's easier to write, easier to understand, easier to sell.

News hasn't been too bad. CNN is doing their best to play fair, Al Jazeera isn't doing bad, even Fox is taking a modestly neutral position (shocking, I know), BBC is lols but they're trying, I'd say NPR is doing well... But CNBC... holy crap they're drooling on themselves.

Not only it is wrong, but is unclear. 5 march? 3 may? Dunno.

"Someone who tries to buy it comes on TV, pushes the story and hopefully tomorrow you can sell it for a higher price. That's not a currency—that's a ponzi scheme," Serra said. On the other hand, Serra said, gold has been successful over the years as it stores value. Gold = ponzi scheme

How interesting? Just cannot understand whether Narco Dollar or Narco Bitcoin traffickers are meant?
Self contradiction in the headline?

Yea, after this week we can safely say that everybody in financial news has heard about Bitcoin, and maybe even actually understands it to some degree. A huge week for Bitcoin. Next week will be the reaction, and from there on... that's when we'll see. Despite all the serious news blunders on Bitcoin, there has finally started to be some legitimate discussion and coverage. Quite a few journalists are taking their crash-course on bitcoin seriously, and I love watching them have the lightbulb moments.
