This,if an authentic email, would appear to be the Simon Dixon of bnktothefuture back in 2011 selling " How to get a job in the city"service. Did he really write this?

is headed up by Max Keiser(and others) and used as a kind of kickstarter, VC portal for crypto businesses.

however the screenshot of the email looks unrelated to bnktothefuture.com and the email looks "scammy".
i can see many red flag buzzwords/rhetoric
overselling their influence. "having lots of friends".. but instantly red flag "will turn off other phones ignore emails and dedicate myself to you"
who in the moral/ethical world would do that!!

basically if someone would turn off their phone and ignore emails to work solely with their most recent client.. expect yourself to be ignored once they find their next client

from my knowledge bnktothefuture do not cold-email people inviting them to facebook groups.
the screenshot of email looks like someone trying to speculatively grab people and probably find out the facebook group then makes financial demands or gets people to pay a fee or some other agenda to coax funds out of you.

in short if i received it i would assume a scammer is trying to suggest they are linked to bnktothefuture.com to coax your trust into blindly going to a facebook group to be persuaded into some "scheme".

benedix is now defunct/dead.
having a quick google. seems he was actually offering services as the OP suggests "selling" - "" How to get a job in the city""

I also came across a person called Jal Islam, who posted this book review on Simon Dixon's 2011 book . I see a Jal Islam works as an analyst at bnktothefuture today. Who is Jal Islam? And why so much praise of the book?

though the benedix thing is not bnktothefuture... based on what you have highlighted about one of the guys history before joining bnktothefuture i too would be wary of simon.
so although your email screenshot does not have evidence of nasty business of bnktothefuture directly, i would be wary of simon who is part of bnktothefuture and what he might be doing behind closed doors. based on his personal history

I saw Simon erect the anti-banking shield, the disrupt banking shield, the crusade..it's great PR... He also takes credit for rescue of finex and saying crypto could not afford another gox type scandal...and says he waved fees for finex rescue and infers altruist motive claiming we could not afford another gox story. there is always a fee. just not where people commonly see it.
he is paid a salary and will earn a christmas double bonus for other hidden costs/profits. so sometimes the publicly known fee is just some PR

yea the benedix thing is gone. evaporated shot down before it got very far,
but everyone should be wary of who they hand money too. if the banking crisis of 2007 hasnt taught anyone anything. or gox, or cryptsy or bitfinex. then its worth looking into anyone/anything you invest in now. not just say "here take my moneyz"

even if bnktothefuture is 100% legit, and maybe it is, i dunno, there's no way anyone's gonna make any money. unless it's an exchange or gambling site then no bitcoin business will turn a profit, let alone a return for original investors, for a long, long time.

we're still firmly in the throwing shit at the wall phase. i'm not confident any of it's gonna stick.

If the email scam from 2011 was by him...then con artist , scammer are words I would think of. He has drawn in huge amounts of money from investors and I fear he & his platform bttf will be written about in years ahead as why bitcoin is too risky...bttf and Simon could well be terrible PR when no money returned, no ROI. Look at his bio on bttf ..says he was busy writing a book on future of finance 2006-11...no mention made of what look like email scams

If you had to come to this forum to validate their credentials, then something is fishy. I always say, "When in doubt, stay the fuck away" There are just way too many scams out there and I did not work my ass off for my money, to piss it away on scams.

Yes, you are correct. I've seen that bttf has sucked in massive investment from the crypto & bitcoin community..$100 million?..or near that. The sales pitch is "the future of finance", and we will get you access to "the hottest deals" in crypto and bttf holding the anti-banking shield up, proclaiming passion for the anti-banking,  great PR ..the crusade...then once you're in the language is not positive...e.g. "most investments will fail or not do much" ..and words like "if at all" on the chance of returns, ROI. Bttf is far more sceptical than the "future of finance" sales pitch at the entry stage and the anti-corruption anti banking crusader much more pessimistic after pitch closes I assure you.
If that email is indeed authored by Simon Dixon, and I am not sure it is, but it looks like it is,then there would be concern about who he is, his judgement
