Great achievement! And congrats to all of us especially the miners I guess who put in their money and sincere efforts and made this possible. I think only 5M bitcoins left to be mined now?

This is great, bitcoin is becoming higher its demand each day.
That bitcoin is becoming popular though, and others are gaining
profit already. Lets wait for the bitcoin price to hit $1000.

Bitcoin is still strong and growing in quantity.

It will be more and more difficult to mine all the bitcoins to 21M but miners won`t stop.

I wish there was a way for me to mine btc too,but it isn`t profitable in my country.

Yes finally we have 16 million bitcoin. That's a great milestone that we the bitcoiner had achieved and we are almost at the crucial stage because from now bitcoin would be mined very slowly as the difficulty level is increasing day by day.

There were some report that 90% of all bitcoins should be mined at 2039, with that said i really dont know how the miners will manage their miners and hash from bitcoin, its a great achievement bitcoin has reached and next halving will be at 2020, and the next halving should make bitcoin to reach easy 1500 dollars and above.

Yes 16 million have been mined. However, we all know that mining becomes harder, so there won't come this day when all the btc are mined and we are still alive, because this will happen in 2150 or so. And yet it is good that there are people who mine it despite the fact that it is becoming harder. Looks like bitcoin has a great future.

What about the number of BTC being lost in the process? Anyone s got any assessment of that number?

I believe that most part of "freezed" wallets contains losted bitcoins, like Satoshi coins and others old users that don't believed in the sucess of the coin in the future and a lot of people that lost their wallets for some reason.

However we can see the same problem with any fiat.

That's not happening with fiat money, you can't hold money in the bank forever. (If you die they close your account, for example).

Bitcoin will never reach 21KK, [50(1/2)^n] with n from 0 to infinite.
It will be close to 21. Something like 20.99999 and so on  Grin
