I'm sitting here waiting for an account verification to clear, knowing it probably won't be at least Tuesday until that happens.  I had thought about buying BTC months ago, but now I'm remembering why I might have given up.  Is there any other exchange that doesn't involve a chain of skimmers between my fiat and my crypto?  I am looking more to get into LTC at this point because it seems to be where a lot of the creativity is atm, but part of me is also worried it might double by the time I'm able to actually buy some (was at 2.9 yesterday).

Thanks for the help and sorry if this question is ultra-noobish.
