I'm finding Bitcoins rather confusing. I have a list of questions but for now I'll stick to one.

In Bitcoins the drop down list settings, go to options. What hell does any of that mean? What do the boxes mean and what should I click on?

Thanks.

please be more specific. no one is going to explain every single option (that's what the wiki is for)

someone else had been posting on my account for over a year; Every post from January 10 2017 to June 18 2018 is NOT ME
Whoever this person was that got access to my account, felt the need to shill something called "bidium" in my signature
very surreal. is this normal? the internet is full of crooks... watch out

Thanks for reply but I have gone through pages and pages of the wiki and cant find anything.

my options are:
Start on windows system start up-Which I tick so it starts when my machine starts.
Map port using upnp-Googled this and I dont understand it.
Minimise on close-When ticked it doesnt close program.
Connect through socks4proxy-No idea what this means but I have it ticked.

My blocks counter isnt going up and I dont know how to get BitCoins.

my oh my really? oh wow....

okay uh... upnp is universal plug and play. its technology that lets the (any) software automatically configure your firewall/router (not too sure which one) so that it can connect to the internet with out issues

minimize on close means... when u close the program (by clicking the little x on the top right) it doesn't actually close but minimizes to the task bar on the bottom right of your screen...

socks4proxy - DO NOT TICK THIS unless you are using a proxy like tor (infact the default values are already set up for tor)

also learn to google KEY words not the entire thing

like u would have googled
upnp or socks4proxy respectively
