could someone explain cgminer output?

An example of a line from my output :

[Date+time] Accepted 02edf34 Diff 111/31 GPU 0

The numbers following "diff" don't look good but I've not a clue what they are.  

Also the output on my pool website claims to be a fraction of what the cmd prompt claims, what's the deal with this?
