Had guiminer running 45mhash on my GTX 550ti
Switch cards to a gigabyte ATI HD5770 and I can seem to get it to work.
It says it has connection problems. I downloaded Sdk and the OpenGL and I have no idea how to set this up.
The GTX 550ti just worked when I pushed start mining however the HD5770 does not.
I would be supper appreciative if someone could please explain how to set this up. It can't be that difficult as there are a lot of people using ATI cards. I have been reading for hours and all I could find what what I need
To download and not how to set it up.

Thank you soooooooo much,
Dan

Meh, you need OpenCL, not GL

Thank you for the response.

Stupid iPhone autocorrect to openGL
I meant openCL. I installed all the drivers for the new card and got the OpenCL thing but when I open it it wants me to type in some code or something to link to my card. I can't seem to find a step by step for this.

Thank you,
Dan

Ok I am home and have started unistalling stuff.
What I have left is

GUIMiner
AMD Catalyst Install Manager
ATI Stream Profiler 2.1

What do I need to do exactly to get the 5770 to mine.

Cheers,
Dan

The 5770 is a horrible card get very hot and dies easily.

5830 for same price is better than 5770/6770.

Did you get it from a shop or ebay? Is it able to run games? Are you using Windows or Linux?

me too, I have a 7970 and a 5770, 7970 works fine and the 5770 doesn't accept shares! It does work when I switch the opencl.dll and the amd.dll's with the SDK 2.5 ones but then I can't use my 7970!
