You can learn by trading small amounts of bitcoins or altcoins. I have found that trying it out is the best way to learn. And if you use very small amounts at first, you aren't really losing much as you catch on to it.

Basically all the trading is very risky, but we can minimize the risk to our respective strategies. Not easy for get profits and requires patience to be able to achieve a profit. If I am allowed to make a suggestion, maybe you can try the forex first. You can try a demo account and if you already get some advantage you can try the real account. Or you may be familiar with mutual funds? If you know about mutual funds you can try it out, you should seek a good investment manager. It will makes it easy to get the profits and minimize failure risk with the help of investment manager.

I have interest on trading but since I know that any platform can really be risky without proper knowledge and guidance I prefer to shelved this interest for the time being.

I am interested to know from experienced traders here what can be the easiest to learn...whether it can be forex, binary, stocks, commodities or maybe even digital currencies?
There are something you must learn before doing trading stocks or digital currencies:
1. You must know and understanding about analysis technical for making prediction of price, many source about it you can find it on google or this section.
2. You must choose the markets (altcoins poloniex, bittrex and other).
3. You must use a little capital for first time or amount with be ready for lost.
4. Choose the time for entry and exit markets, don't be greedy and always be patient.
5. Always do cut lost if the price against you.
You must do practice, everything what are you learning about trading will be nothing without practice by your self.
