..and I wonder what should I do with them. I don't want to sell or exchange them but I wonder if all this ripple idea is not too bit complicated for people. And the second thing is that (as I understand it) the ripple idea is based on real trust among people. But the problem is that very often people are not honest, especially when it comes to money-related things.

I'm not an expert, but I know the trust is part of the whole system.
It's not really about whether one individual is trustworthy, it's about the readings of the entire infrastructure.

but when you have a $1000 IOU from someone it means that you trust this particular person that he will pay you $1000 on demand, and I think it is the weakest part of this system...
