I'd like to know how it looks like, what are the consumptions... What I like most in mining is not making money, as I don't make that much, but more buying hardware parts Tongue... So with 1050, I could buy more, so I'm interested in it.

ti should be a better option, but aside from the good consumption hash is poor, 12MH on ethereum if i'm correct

If you plan on buying them (not already bought them) i think you should stay away from nvidia. I know you mentioned you don't want to make money, but buying them will be just a loss and no one want that. Going with AMD will at least get some of your money back

I've for now gave up on mining, as with my incredibly high electricity rate I have a pure profit of something like 50$ a month. Definitely not interesting for now. I doubt I'll buy anything in the coming year. That's just maybe some anticipation for in one year and a half from now if I move to another country to launch a big-scale mining operation, that will be driven by money at that time. I'll probably avoid 1050, Ti or not though given the poor numbers showed in the thread linked by Amph. I hope new cards will be released by then !

I would rather opt for 1060 which seems like a better buy for mining. Its hashes are very decent especially for zcash with more potential coming.

I would not build a rig from nvida 1050 cards , and probably not at all from any nvidia cards for mining purpose as of today.

"It might not be the best choice for serious mining operations where GTX 1070 would perform much better in terms of performance, but for home miners it could still be a viable option…"

Cons:
-More expensive than Radeon cards with the same hash rate for mining
-Weak mining software support
-2 or 4 GB max memory

- Lot of those 1050 low end cards have a 2GB memory under 145$

- Nvidia 1050 with 4GB memory price is somewhere 135-200$

For the 140-200$ price range you can get a Radeon RX 470/4gb

or Radeon RX 480/4GB cards
