I'm very new to this.  I recently sent bitcoins to an online gambling site.  I put 50 cents through by accident then resent 500 dollars to the same address.  First transaction went through.  Second did not.  I know Im to use a different address every time now.  What can I do.  I looked it up on bitcoin chain.  I can see it.  It's not spent.  Losing y mind.

How long ago was it? It can take even 48 hours before the transaction is confirmed, it happened to me once and I heard of people who waited 3 days for a confirmation. Was the fee included? Could you provide a link to the transaction?

It's been 48 hours.  b5030c476f45f80e8832cedac6e5a2523479bb57dc2170c53b07102607ee4dd2

Fee was included. The gambling site is looking into it for me.  U think it will go through eventually?

This transaction was confirmed (238 confirmations). It was received by this address https://blockchain.info/pl/address/3HZ2BKAfzcKxznHe2t7WMq4muy4YKCdHGS
Your wallet should show the transaction as sent. The fault seems to be on the casino's side, unless you chose the wrong address.

What site was it?

Sending to the same address should not be a problem, unless the site changes the deposit address after every processed deposit (which is unlikely)

Can you show us what is that gambling site? If your transaction was confirmed but you can't see your balance in that casino, try to contact their support no one here can help you to rebroadcast the transaction but to contact their support including your TXID so they can confirm it. Except if you didn't deposit the minimum required amount.

Edit: oh sorry cant see earlier its bodog.ca Roll Eyes

The first transaction went through in seconds.  I was under the impression the addresses were all unique. The site is looking into it but it's been 2days. It's 500 dollars.  I'm not a rich man.  I need to know of there's anything I can do on my end.  There not very helpful.

He already said which site it was and it's possible to rebroadcast an unconfirmed transaction by using the -rescan parameter, but his transaction is confirmed and the money did not move from the target address since yesterday, so like you said it's up to the casino to manually change balance on his account.

The first transaction went through in seconds.  I was under the impression the addresses were all unique. The site is looking into it but it's been 2days. It's 500 dollars.  I'm not a rich man.  I need to know of there's anything I can do on my end.  There not very helpful.

The second one did go through, it just did not appear on your casino account. Maybe small deposits are moved automatically and bigger ones require a confirmation by an employee?

Contact their support dude, that's the only thing we can suggest you, because if its confirmed then the casino's side has the issue. And its my first time hear that site bodog.ca. You think that site is not a scammer?

- snip -
I put 50 cents through by accident then resent 500 dollars to the same address.  First transaction went through.  Second did not.

Actually, it looks like you first sent 0.000509 BTC (about 0.39 USD at the current GDAX exchange rate).  Then about four and a half minutes later you sent 0.00066888 BTC (about 0.51 USD at the current GDAX exchange rate).  Then about a minute and ten seconds later you sent 0.507 BTC (about 388.24 USD at the current GDAX exchange rate).

All three of these transactions have confirmed, so the gambling site HAS received your 0.50817788 BTC (about $389.14 USD at the current GDAX exchange rate).  Now it is up to them to update your account balance on their site.  At this point the ONLY people that can help you are the people at the gambling website.  They have the bitcoins. They have your account information. They are the ones that are failing to update your account balance in their system.
