Check the blockchain id transaction we know we can see all the transaction happening in the blockchain maybe it is not confirmed yet so just wait for a 12hours and double check your coinbase account check the history where you send and what you receive.

Do you mean on the blockchain or a buy/sell on coinbase ?

You should definitely contact their support first as they will be the ones who will be able to help you out. Did you change the fees or something while sending ?

I guess with all the unconfirmed transactions and what not support is being flooded this is my third ticket this week.. On coinbase the transaction was for receiving the payment was "pending" with 0 confirmations for about 50hr then all of a sudden i went to check again and the whole transaction was gone. I searched the wallet address and there was no history or anything and like i said the transaction just disappeared....

If you mean receiving, then were you receiving it from your own address or was a third party sending it to you ?

There is a possibility of a double spend, in which case you should wait till a confirmation happens.

Yeah i was receiving from a buddy of mine so I don't think it was a double... like the whole transaction is gone no longer even in my recent transactions or anything...

Only Coinbase knows what's going on because they are the only one who have an access to the system. If it's gone after you checked it again (the last time you checked was 50hr) then no one here can tell you the exact thing why it happened.

Maybe you can use your buds wallet history as a proof that you sent something to Coinbase. They can't hide the transaction history that is missing on Coinbase.

You still didn't clarify if the transaction is gone was on blockchain or coinbase. If your buddy sent you the money, then you should be able to pull up that info by putting in the address on blockchain and seeing the transactions. That will also confirm about it being a problem with double spend or coinbase.

There are two possibilities:
1. The transaction remained unconfirmed for too long and the nodes in the network decided to drop it from their mempool and the coin can be spent by the sender again. Check the address that was sent from, if the coins are still there, then its this.
2. The transaction had another replacing transaction spending the inputs confirming. The transaction hence got replaced and you won't get the coins.

Eitherway, request the sender to send the Bitcoins again. If they cannot prove that they sent it, they have to send it again.

That really sucks man try go call or chat their help support that kind of thing might be a bug or hack or something. I myself have experienced something like a bug a little different from what happened on yours but might was I was sending a transaction on someone I sent $5 on him and I actually made sure that is $5 so I did put the amount on BTC then when i sent it I checked the transaction then it says $10 so I was like how did that even happened I was really upset and now that guy that I sent the money on did not pay me back my $5 I was really upset but in your situation you should be careful on trading I would suggest you put your money on a cold storage for safety so that it won't get bug or something like that happened to you. Hope it helps and I hope you get your money back  Smiley

coinbase is good for taking there sweet time responding and they are also good at sending transactions that wont confirm very quickly. You should have your bud screenshot the coinbase email or transaction history of his coinbase account and send it to you then take it and rub it in coinbases faces. If they screwed it up and then tried to act like the transaction never happened then they are the ones who should replace the bitcoin. i wouldn't take no for an answer and if they tried to tell me that id follow up with letting them know you'd start advertising there little "Mishap" on popular social media spots and heavily travelled btc user sites. i don't think that BS would last long before then sent you what they owe.
