So when browsing the forum, I saw that several members had personalisated addresses. On my wallet, I can't choose how an address will look, so I'm wondering how did people get them ? Could anyone indicate me where I can find a post explaining it ? That would be very kind of you Smiley !

Just google bitcoin vanity address.

There are programs like vanitygen which can generate the personalised addresses you want and online services you can use to generate the personalised address.

Personalized addresses are called vanity addresses.

The safe way to generate a vanity address is to use split-key vanity generation:
1. You use your own hardware with oclvanitygen tool and get a vanity address
or
2.  You generate a private/public keypair
2a. Send public key to a 3rd party (person or site)
2b. The 3rd party generates your address and partial private key
2c. You mix your private key with key obtained from step 2b
2d. You enjoy your new personalized address.

Never use vanity addresses generated by 3rd parties that have the complete private key!

I will never send private messages with payment requests for my auctions. I only communicate transparently via the forum (not Telegram, Discord, Skype & others). Please be wary of scammers.

https://bitcoinvanitygen.com/ There you go. However this one is limited to 6 chars for free, then it is going to cost you money. Also be aware of your security while using these sites, since i have no clue how secure it is. Use at own risk!
DO NOT USE THAT WEBSITE!! IT IS A KNOWN SCAM SITE!! The owner of that website holds onto the private keys and will steal any Bitcoin.

Basically, these vanity address generators go through creating millions of random wallets to pick out particular combinations of keywords which may be desirable. However, you should avoid using any of the online ones if you want complete security, because they will save the keys which can access the funds that you store and can potentially steal them later on.

It's not secure and most probably a scam since the site has the private key of your wallet.

If you want your own vanity address follow shorenas instruction in his thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1257817.0
He can help you generate your own personalized address with a small fee. Don't use that site you provided.

I can generate one free address for him too, just that it has to be 6 chars long (max) to avoid downtime for too long for my mining rig.
For example, 1RaviolXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, but I will need a public key.

I will never send private messages with payment requests for my auctions. I only communicate transparently via the forum (not Telegram, Discord, Skype & others). Please be wary of scammers.

Thank you for giving me the link to that software. shorena's service seems very well, and people seem to trust the service, but since I have no bitcoin, I won't be able to request a a custom address since people have to pay for them, and thus, I'll have to generate one myself. I'll look further into the software to make it work and generate an address that is fully mine Smiley !

With vanity BTC address generator you can do this. The problem is that if you make your own BTC address through BTC vanity generator, your private keys are generated in vanity generator Web page. So your private keys are not 100% in your hands.
