I've been having a heck of a time getting my hands on a miner. I first tried btcfpga but they went belly up, my money was refunded. I see there are members of this community that are selling but I am unable to contact them as I'm a newbie.
Can some one point me in the right direction? If your a seller please contact me. I'd like four maybe six mining units at 400Mh/s for around $350 each. I live in Ottawa.

Thanks.

You could always build your own. Also, see: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Mining_hardware_comparison#FPGA

I cant say I have the time to build a unit, let alone trade. I like the X6500, ZTX 1.15y, and the Mod Miner Quad. If someone has a couple they can spare please pm me.

Im currently mining on my gaming rig-turned-miner. 1090T, 8Gig RAM, SSD, and two 5870 and a 5770. I plan on getting a 5870 this week to replace the 5770. Problem is energy in Ontario is high; after fees .20c kw/h. A group of fpgas would match or exceed performance and allowing me to run them 24/7 without worrying about the power bill.

If one was forced to make and fpga miner. Is there a reputable source/tutorial to put one together?

+1

Is there a PCB design available that could be manufactured and a list of components to solder on? Most difficult thing will be tossing the FPGA on there depending on the package but it seems doable.
