Any Newbies mining for Litecoins on LTC.KATTARE.COM ?

I'm using reaper with a 7950...and the stale rate (10-30%) is driving me nuts...

Any suggestions?

Well, I'd like to post it in... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=93540.0  ..but I can't...because I'm restricted...cause I'm a newb...and I read that I needed to start making posts so that I can be eventually released from this newb detention center.

Have you had better luck pooling with them than you do solo mining? What kind of results have you had so far even with that stale rate

Go to LiteBonk.com and use Stratum.

Users report around a 2% - 3% stale rate for the older getwork protocol, and around 0.5% using Stratum.

What settings/server are you using for Reaper for your 7950? I was on cgminer but I wasn't even breaking 400kh/s without some serious OCing

I wanted to give Reaper a go, but it was having issues connecting to all the servers I was trying. I understand that you need a proxy to use stratum with Reaper? Any links to guides on how to set that up?

I've had good luck with ltc.kattere running both minerd (CPU) and cgminer.  I can't comment on settings as I'm using some old gear just to get a feel for things before I do some upgrades.

Does anybody know if ltc.kattere is down. I'm trying to mine from it with reaper but it keeps saying "Error getting 28 to work. see http://curl.haxx.se/libcurl/c/libcurl-errors.html"

ltc.kattere is probably one of the best LTC pools right now, very low stale rate and very low reject rate. I get about 0.05% stale and about 0.15% rejects. You have to stick around on the pool for a long period of time to get accurately paid though, minimum 24 hours.

I mine with with cgminer, and MSI 7950's
