Will my CPU/GPU not work for this?

CPU:
Mobile Intel Core i5 2410M (Sandy Bridge)
2893.23 MHz

I understand that my Graphics card does not support OpenCL, and cannot mine with GUIminer.

My question is, can my CPU not, either? I opened GUIminer and got a window that looks just like the tutorials and examples I've seen- but no option to select which CPU to use.

Your CPU can mine (look for pooler's cpuminer) ok but it's not really worth it since your hashrate will be so low.
I have an i7-3770k @ 4.6Ghz and get roughly 60kh/s (mining LTC).
I also have a mobile i7 @ 1.6ghz and get 16kh/s. 

I assume your numbers will be in between there somewhere.

Hrm. i have a 6 core amd at 3.2Ghz and am getting only around 12Kh/s from the cpu. I also mine on my GPU at around 200Kh/s.

I think i need to muck around with my CPU settings.

im guessing your lite mining , i hope so my x4 955 at 3.2 gets about 150mhash in btc so i think your probobly in the ballpark not sure though
