Hi guys sorry if this is a pretty dumb/basic question but it has me and my brother stumped

We want to start mining (GPU) and have bought a few cards + a motherboard which is on its way but we dont know how we will connect the rig to a computer (laptop) to control it.

After searching the internet for quite a while I've decided the best course of action would be to setup a LAN, connect the rig and the laptop to it and use remote admin to control the rig

What do you guys suggest is the best idea I think the above method will work but if there is a convention which miners tend to follow it would probably be best to do so, so any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, we want to get mining asap!

Cheers

Connect your rig to your laptop? I assume you mean you want to run a headless rig and want to be able to access it from your laptop. In that case, I run Windows 7 on all my rigs and use teamviewer to connect to them so I can make any changes

Thanks for the advice I'll look into teamviewer

We will be using the rig to mine ltc not btc

@legendster how does that not make sense?

dont = do not so we do not know how we will connect the rig to a computer

You'll need to setup a Monitor/KB/Mouse the first time when configuring the system. Once you get it setup, mining testing on LTC, and connected to Teamviewer (create and account  + setup unattended access) - then you can remove the Monitor/KB/Mouse and remotely connect into it via Teamviewer. It's what I use to manage my "headless" (meaning no monitor/kb/mouse) miners.
