How to make this forum more meaningful

The bitcoin wiki makes it so that to edit content you pay a small fee in bitcoins. I think that would be a great way of confirming accounts. Just make it pay to play (but only a little amount).

This will make it so everyone on this forum has had actual bitcoins in their hands at one point and no one will be talking when they don't know anything. Plus the newbie section will no longer have junk posts.

The price can be something like $1 or $0.5 converted to bitcoins. This will easily support the hosting of the site.

An alternative would make it so it costs you $0.001 (in bitcoins of course) to buy a credit, and credits are spent to post to a thread (5 credits), vote up a thread (1 credits), or post a reply to a thread (2 credits).

that would be great, except, people come here to learn about Bitcoins. I suspect that most, especially in the newbie section have no bitcoins yet. I know i don't.

thats why this idea is awesome. go to wiki bitcoins or just read out posts. but to have all these noobs spit out shit like they hold any stock in coins than that is just frustrating for me who has a lot and to those who have none. it just makes sence to weed out all the miss information and the junk they spit out on here. pay to spit your junk. I dont go to alpaca forums and talk shit on them cuz i dont have alpacas.

I just don't think this idea makes sense.  I understand your point about wanting to make the forum better, but honestly the Newbie section exists for a reason, and from what I can tell it and the moderators do a fairly good job of keeping this forum enjoyable.  Charging any amount of money in any currency is just an unnecessary disincentive.
