Last night I deposited $40 into another member's bank account and he subsequently sent me bitcoins. I took that risk after days of not being able to find escrow (only one escrow agent was available, but his hours differed from mine). It was my intention of repeatedly making $40 deposits until I had my desired amount of bitcoins, however the seller's wallet used an almost zero tx fee and thus the BTC xfer didn't get a single confirmation until after I had logged off for the night. While the BTC transfer was still unconfirmed I told the seller that we couldn't do another transaction until it confirmed and I told him we could continue our business tomorrow. And that one escrow agent (
PsychoticBoy) should be available up until 12 or 1 (EST) and I would be available during those times and the use of escrow would obviously be more convenient for us. So I asked the seller if he'd be online from 9:30-1 (9:30 is when my library opens — I don't have a computer) and he said 'yes'. I sent the seller a PM at 9:45 (it's now 11:00) and he still hasn't replied to me and it seems like he hasn't even been online. And I don't even know if PsychoticBoy is available today; I'm just going by my correspondence with him over the past two weeks. I didn't want to PM him until my seller had replied to my PM.
UPDATE: Finally got a responded from the seller.
