Where to get custom hologram stickers made?

I have an idea for some physical coins I'd like to make and I'm looking for some information on
getting custom hologram stickers made.

What do these usually cost and what companies are popular and recommended by the coin makers here?

If you want some custom high quality ones you'll have to pay a fair amount. Well worth it though if you have a great design in mind.

Security hologram.com if you want to order 5000. It would probably be around $1500 depending on which hologram security details you pick. They do smaller runs but I got a quote for 500 and it was only like 300$ more for 5k. So with them 5k is the way to go.

But defcon had some nice custom ones made, idk who he used but ik he didn't order 5k

Yes.   If you shop around, this is a good target price.  You will get offers from $500-$2000.  It varies widely.

Bigtimespaghetti Helped me with my project and coordinated with me through production. I'd call the design we worked on together really good and the quality above average. It was a good price from concept to delivery, we invested really heavily on the molds and couldn't go balls to the wall with the holo without going broke. So that may be something to consider.

Otherwise, you can put out a bounty and people will gin something up you might like.

If you plan to make or sell funded coins, I would recommend investing quite a bit of time and money into the hologram design/production. Not only does it serve as the tamper proof mechanism, but a well designed custom hologram would be very difficult to forge, making sure your coins would retain value after they have changed hands a few times.

It helps if you are buying a bunch, as the cost per piece goes down some.  Depends on what you are looking for, as far as how custom you want it made.  I would say people here hit it spot on with the ranges of prices.  Good luck in your venture, and look forward to new creations brought in.

Did he specifically help you with the Goddess coins? Those look just beautiful and I want to work with someone who produces high quality coins like that.

It would also matter if you wanted a clear window on the hologram.  I believe the price goes up for that feature.

It depends how much you're willing to pay. Other factors that determine the price are the kind of feautyres included. Honeycomb effect holograms tend to be a little more pricey than the standard ones. Not all manufacturers are able to produce holograms with a transparent window and those are also a little more expensive.
You can find manufacturers in Asia, the US and Europe although expect the most competitive prices to be found from manufacturers coming out of HK, China and India.
