Value Stores

Could someone point me to examples of "value stores" in the bitcoin world. Are there places where I can hold  gold or stock index shares in a numbered account and cash into bitcoins on demand? MtGox does that for dollars I haven't seen a good bitcoin equivalent of e-gold in the old days just yet--or someone offering interest bearing accounts in dollars or pieces of any of the major stock indexes yet.
