It's easy for you to reason.
You did not live in these hellish conditions, when the state does not care about citizens, and the rich become even richer.
Of course, it is easier to put a minus than to believe a person and at least somehow help.
We heard it all before, everything that you can imagine, but a story is just a story. The lender can't sell your story (even if it's true, it doesn't matter) to recover his/her money. This is the reality and we all live in it, try to accept it and you will have far less disappointments in life.
