Hello,

I am starting with this. I have read about mining here on the forum and on the net. I want to mine and from what i understand this could be a profitable option:

I want to buy an s7-ln from this site: http://bitmanusa.com/product/antminer-s7-ln-with-power-supply/

My electricity price is .043 dollar per kwh

From what i read i can also mine some altcoins that use sha256 for a bigger profit.

I understand it will be noisy and the temperature will raise something like 10 F

Does all of this sound ok in order to get a profit?

Any comments or recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks for reading!!

MOD EDIT: Scam post linking to scam site.

That is certainly cheap electricity compared to where i am located.
So yes i would say that it is a viable solution for you to get off on the right foot into the realm of mining. Smiley

I'd be VERY cautious about that site.

 (1) They are NOT affiliated with the actual BitMain company

 (2) Looking at their prices, they are claiming to sell new Bitmain products in a few cases for LESS THAN THE MANUFACTURER DOES SO.

I am picking up a distinct smell of "scam" about that site.

Your electric price should make an S7 profitable for quite a while - if I wasn't hitting limits on available power, I'd probably have bought a few S7 units by now (my electric rate is almost identical, I suspect we're near neighbors).

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!

Problem with mining altcoins is that their value isn't really stable.
You might be making more $USD than Bitcoin at one point but a lot less at another.

They are also harder to trade. Depending in which form you want to keep your gains.

At this point, it depends on how much you'll pay for your S7 and your power supply.

Your electricity cost is low enough to make profit with S7, but it's better to buy from a legit site. You do not want to be losing money even before starting the business!

i hate you bitmanusa.com!!!! what a scam! SCAM SCAM SCAM!

when i do a whois domain search on bitmanusa.com it comes up with a register phone number that links to a Kris Mendoza. i'm guessing the phone number isn't linked to the right person anymore... or else I will be going after Kris Smiley

If you could read just one more post, it says that the site is a scam. Multiple members have confirmed that this site is a scam; nobody would go selling perfectly new miners like this anyways. It's a very obvious scam, if you want miners, buy them direct or from a TRUSTED seller.

was stupid enough to fall for bitman my self for $200, but I di something about it. no one f---s with me! if you notices their site is DOWN! their host was OrangeWebsite.com so I got them shot down and they are looking for the scammer. bitman also used gourl.io for the transition so they closed their account, and now I am working on getting the name of the person scamming us!

Nice job.  I got hit as well.  I guess this falls into the "too good to be true" category.
